Community Outreach and Relations

Community Outreach and Relations is a great way for us to visit with neighboring groups, organizations and churches to help explain who we are and what we do. When we have the opportunity to visit with an organization, especially if they aren't familiar with Rock Solid Resource Center, we explain all the different things we do for our communities.

This type of meeting is a great source to ask questions and learn more about how we can help each other. We provide an overview of our organization and then open the discussion for questions. This is a great way for our various churches and groups to meet us and find out how we can help within their community of needs.

We love visiting organizations and churches within our area! It gives us a chance to share our Mission with others and exchange ideas to help each other help our communities.

“WINTER WARMTH”
BLANKET DRIVE
In preparation for the colder weather that will soon be upon us We in Partnership with The Bowie County Citizens Tribune are launching our “Winter Warmth” Blanket Drive so that we can meet the need as it arises.

New and Slightly Used Blankets can be dropped here at Rock Solid or at the Bowie County Citizen Tribune’s office.

Johnston Ford Food Drive Partners with Rock Solid Resource Center

We are so grateful to the awesome folks at Johnston Ford who recently completed a Food Drive for our M-25 Pantry. They set a goal of 400lbs and through the generosity of many of you in our communities exceeded their goal and collected 402.8lbs. Food is always needed as we feed 100’s monthly through the M-25 Pantry but is especially impactful as we move into the holiday season when needs greatly increase. Johnston Ford is proud to partner with M-25 Community Panty at Rock Solid Resource Center to host a non-perishable food drive fundraiser now through September 25th.

Our Goal: 400 pounds of food donations! Every can, box, and bag makes a difference in our community.

Drop off your non-perishable items at Johnston Ford and help us hit our goal. Together, we can make a huge impact!

First Baptist Church, New Boston VBS Blessing

We wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all the VBS folks at FBC New Boston. The kids blessed us by collecting cans of food and an offering check was given which will allow us to pay for other food items for our M-25 Community Pantry. You all are so awesome and you blessed us so much.

First United Methodist, DeKalb Visit

Our Beth with Pastor Amanda Stratton at First United Methodist Church, DeKalb, TX

First United Methodist Women and Pastor Amanda Stratton welcomed Beth to share about all the incredible Ministry that takes place in the Western end of Bowie County. Beth and her team at Rock Solid has an incredible heart for connecting those in need with local resources through multiple churches in our area. Quarterly, the First United Methodist church has an alter railing offering to support Rock Solid and it was a blessing to hear how much this ministry does in our community.
